We though it time to post an update of a summary of what is happening at the moment:..
📰 News & Industry Updates​
A few important industry shifts to be aware of:
Price Rises: Unfortunately, we are seeing price increases from R_Volution (media players), with the new prices to come into force 1 Feb 2026. We are also predicting a madVR (Envy range) price rise soon, driven by increasing video card costs—so if you were on the fence, sooner is definitely better than later.
madVR Gaming Mode & 4K120: The Envy Core MK1 and Extreme MK2 officially supports 4K 120Hz output. Additionally, the units now feature a dedicated Gaming Mode which significantly reduces lag, making them a game-changer for motion clarity and responsiveness on capable projectors/displays.
Finance Options: We will be launching finance packages very soon to help spread the cost of upgrades and purchases
🍿 Demo Room Updates​​
We have been busy refreshing our demo room with the latest gear:
New Krix OWX Speakers: We are now running the new Krix OWX on-wall/behind-screen speakers. These feature a high-output constant directivity horn design (derived from their commercial cinema range) and are incredibly dynamic.
Trinnov CI with Dante: Our demo system is now running the Altitude CI networked via Dante. If you are interested in Audio-over-IP (AoIP) and how it simplifies cabling (and allows extra zones to be added) while retaining reference quality, come have a listen.
Projectors: We have updated our projector demo setup, which includes the Sony XW5100 (Bravia Projector 7), JVC NZ700, and Epson QB1000 ready for side-by-side comparison.
MadVR: As well as Lumagen we now have the madVR Envy Core MK1 running (please note we are looking to upgrade this to the MK2 soon).
Kaleidescape: Our kaleidescape system has been updated to include both Strato E and Strato Mini Terra Prime.
Control: All of the above is controlled via URC and AVA.
🆕 New Products​​
We have some exciting new hardware landing soon:
miniDSP Tide 16 (coming soon): A massive release from miniDSP. This is their first 16-channel immersive audio processor with native decoding for Dolby Atmos & DTS:X. Best of all, it includes the full Dirac suite (Live, Bass Control, and Active Room Treatment) standard. More information here.
AudioControl Hyperion Series (Coming Soon): We are gearing up for the arrival of the new Hyperion line (including the APR-16 processor and RCV-11 receiver). This is a ground-up redesign featuring Dirac Live ART.
miniDSP AMP-8: A brand new 8-channel Class D amplifier using ICEpower modules. It’s ultra-quiet (123dB SNR) and delivers serious power (300W @ 4Ω) in a compact 2U chassis. These are in stock now, and available here.
madVR Envy Core MK2 & Extreme MK3: Shipping now, and based on the popular Core MK1 and Extreme MK2 these now add HDMI2.1 to match the HDMI2.0 output for all those gaming needs. More information here
Trinnov Altitude CI: The new custom-install focused processor line (8 to 32 channels) offering native Dante/AES67 support. This is available for demo now. More information here.
