Introducing the miniDSP Tide16 – The Future of Immersive Audio
21 January 2026We are excited to share the announcement of miniDSP’s newest AV-DSP series: the Tide16.
This marks miniDSP’s first major entry into the world of immersive audio platforms. Designed with flexibility and audiophile performance at its core, the Tide16 is a 16-channel processor powered by a Quad Core ARM processor. It is designed to handle the latest codecs and room correction IP for home theaters, professional studios, and high-end audiophile applications.

The Dirac Advantage – Fully Unlocked
One of the most significant announcements regarding the Tide16 is the partnership with Dirac Research. The unit comes pre-licensed with a complete suite of tools included in the price (no extra licensing costs):
This suite allows users to utilize the Tide16's flexible matrix mixer and 16 output channels to create complex active speaker systems and manage multiple subwoofers right out of the box.
Availability and Pricing Updates
The Tide16 is scheduled for an initial release around mid-February.
Stock & Demo Status We are pleased to confirm that we expect to hold stock of the Tide16 once available to dealers. Additionally, we will be receiving a demo unit once available for evaluation and demonstration.
Pricing While the US MSRP has been announced at $3500 USD, confirmed UK pricing is not yet available. We are working closely with miniDSP and will release local pricing as soon as it is finalized.
