Dolby Atmos for the home is coming

And the ideal setup is a 7.1.4 setup, which is a front 3, 2 surrounds, 2 rears (making the 7), one sub (making the .1) and 4 in ceiling speakers, or 4 Dolby Atmos enabled speakers like the Onkyo SKH-410 (the final .4), with other options for 5.1.2, 5.1.4, 7.1.2, 9.1.2 etc.



So far we have had announcements from Onkyo who have announced that the following AV items will either release, or be updated to include Dolby Atmos:

Yamaha have announced that the following AV amplifiers will feature Dolby Atmos via an update here:

A2040 & A3040

Denon have announced that the following AV units will feature Dolby Atmos on release/via an update here:

AVR-X4100W
AVR-X5200W

Marantz have announced that the following AV units will feature Dolby Atmos on release/via an update here:

SR7009
AV7702

Pioneer have announced that the following AV units will feature Dolby Atmos on release/via an update here:

SC-LX88, SC-LX78, SC-LX58
